For Fourth Form Students

If you’re in Fourth Form and are interested in getting into teaching, you will need good grades at CSEC level in order to receive a scholarship from at a Belizean tertiary institution.

CSEC TUITION SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility
You must be a Belizean citizen at the time of sitting the CSEC examinations
Pass English A, Mathematics and any other four subjects in one sitting with a Grade I,II or III.

How to access the CSEC Tuition scholarship
You must present proof of Belizean nationality and a copy of your CSEC results to the Accounts office at the tertiary institution of choice in Belize.

How to maintain the scholarship
Earn the required GPA for each semester: 2.5 or better in Semester I and a pass at the end of the school year.

How to transfer your scholarship from one place of study to another
A transfer of your tuition scholarship must be requested in writing to:

Tertiary and Post Secondary Services (TPSES) Unit,
Ministry of Education,
Room 10, 3rd Floor, West Block,
Belmopan.

Attach supporting documents
Transcript from previous tertiary institution
Letter of acceptance and programme sequence from the new tertiary institution

What the scholarship covers
A Tuition Scholarship covers to the cost of receiving instruction only. It does not cover additional fees and books. The amount varies depending on the number of courses taken each semester and the number of credits in each course. Tuition is paid for an associate degree programme at the associate degree rate.

CSEC FULL SCHOLARSHIP

If you enroll in the Associate Degree in Primary Education and Associate Degree in Early Childhood programmes you will receive money to cover your fees and books in addition to tuition.
